It’s true! Decker’s Auto first started in the automotive business as a wrecker. The early days of buying vehicles had one major flaw; buying or replacing worn parts. Peter Decker bought land on what is now Grimmer and Kingsway. He placed himself right behind the new dealership that had just opened in town. After a vehicle became disabled he was first on the auction block to obtain the rights to them. Just as,the auto parts industry began forming, Peter was a pioneer of his time, offering salvage parts at a discount rate his business began booming.
